Bosses at US acting union Equity have fired an unfair labour practice charge at Gotham, New York's famous Supper Club, claiming owners scrapped a RAT PACK tribute show because it featured union members.

The show, THE RAT PACK IS BACK - which was co-written and produced by 1970s pop pin-up David Cassidy, closed on 12 December (05) with bosses at the Supper Club citing "unforeseen circumstances."

But Equity officials claim the Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr tribute was pulled because the actors taking part in it were union members and the venue is a non-union house.

Equity bosses have filed their charges with the National Labor Relations Board, claiming Supper Club bosses used "discrimination" and "coercive tactics" to close the show.
