The Partridge Family star allegedly sideswiped a truck with his vehicle while changing lanes on a Florida highway, and he initially stopped after the collision, but allegedly drove away before law enforcement officers arrived.

He was later charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended licence.

The singer/actor claimed he had exchanged insurance information with the truck driver, and he has now pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to TMZ.com.

Cassidy's licence was suspended for six months in May (15) stemming from a driving while intoxicated (DWI) arrest in 2013, and he completed a court-ordered alcohol treatment program earlier in 2015.

This year (15) has been a bad one for Cassidy - he filed for bankruptcy, sold his dream home in Florida to help pays his debts and he is also in the middle of a divorce from Sue, his wife of 23 years.
