Longtime David Bowie sidekick Earl Slick was drafted in to the group earlier this year (15) for the get together, and was hoping to join bassist Kenny Aaronson, founding member and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jim MCCarty, and guitarist/singer John Idan when they hit the stage at the end of October (15).

But he will no longer be a part of the tour when MCCarty and the new-look Yardbirds open their North American dates in Norfolk, Connecticut on 30 October (15).

Formed in 1960s London, The Yardbirds boasted some of the most famous guitarists of all time - Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. MCCarty is the only original member taking part in the new tour, which was originally planned for earlier this year (15).
