David Beckham is celebrating Christmas early, the only way he knows how: by launching a new, lucrative range of undergarments for H&M. Beckham has added to his Bodywear range for H&M UK and we’ve had a peek at the publicity shots – some of which leave very little to the imagination. Brace yourselves, now.
Keen to get shoppers riled with anticipation for the new range, Beckham posted a couple of the photos on his Facebook page and has already garnered 55,000 ‘likes’ on the social networking site. If each of those clicks translated into a sale, the soccer star would be quids in (not that he’s exactly short of a bob or two). We reckon most of his admirers will have been clicking ‘like’ before their eyes had even scrolled down to the clothing, though. After all – why wear a t-shirt when you’re David Beckham and have all those tattoos to show off? Sporting an immaculately coiffured quiff, Beckham shows off some cosy looking jogging bottoms, for lounging around the mansion… sorry, house… in, just lounging around the house and clenching your abs so everyone can check out your muscle definition.
And for when you’ve just hopped out of the sauna… sorry, shower… and have a towel casually draped around your neck, as you gaze into the middle distance, there’s a pair of startlingly tight white boxers that you can wander around in. You may choose to put some trousers on over them at some point during the day, but no doubt you’ll enjoy wandering around in these barely-decent pants for a while first.
And just to prove that even globally-adored hunks and highly-paid soccer stars get a bit nippy in winter, he’s even launching an actual top that hides those highly-toned abs for you and keeps them warm whilst everybody admires the fact that you managed to keep your quiff in place whilst you pulled the top on. You probably made use of the button detail, didn’t you? Smart. Now, has anyone asked David if he borrowed that wonderfully geometric facial hair from Rylan Clark, off of X Factor?
Beckham’s clearly feeling proud of his new range and told The Daily Mail “I am so excited about this campaign for David Beckham Bodywear at H&M… I love the range, and feel so comfortable in each of the pieces. As soon as the collection was launched, it became second nature for me to wear it! I wanted to express the strength and quality of the David Beckham Bodywear collection with these images, and also the wearability and fit.” Just in case you were wondering what Mr. Beckham would be doing on Christmas Day, he reckons he’ll be slipping into his new “morning gown,” handing out pressies and then just “lounging in his new range.” Imagine that. Though, if you’ve given these photos more than 20 seconds of your time, you probably don’t have to do too much imagining.
