David Beckham has insisted he has no intention of joining the Hollywood glitterati on the silver screen despite his recent stateside football transfer.
The former England captain raised eyebrows in sporting circles when he left Real Madrid, arguably the world's biggest team, to move to LA Galaxy in a £128 million deal.
But the 31-year-old has denied claims he is having acting lessons ahead of his move to the US when his contract in Spain expires in the summer.
"It would be very difficult to be part of a film because I am not an actor and I never will be," Beckham said while on promotional duty for Goal! 2: Living the Dream.
And responding to journalists' questions as to how he managed the feat in the tinsel town football sequel, in which he stars as himself, the midfielder said: "I just had to act naturally."
Goal 2 sees Kuno Becker's character Santiago Nunez relocate to Real Madrid and fulfil his dream of playing alongside real-life galacticos such as Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and... Steve McManaman.
