David Beckham was involved in a vehicular smash up with The Wanted.
The boy band played at soccer superstar's son Romeo's tenth birthday party recently, which took place at a go-kart track, and saw David crash into the back of band member Siva Kaneswaran.
He told Hollyscoop.com: ''We're flying on the go-karts and suddenly I get a massive smash in my car.
''But seeing David Beckham flying by my car [afterward], I'm not even upset - it's David Beckham!''
Tom then confessed it was probably his fault as he started the whole thing by crashing into David.
He said: ''I probably shouldn't have hit up the rear [of David's car].''
The band also confided there was a lot of rivalry on the track between David and his fashion designer wife, Victoria - with whom he also has Brooklyn, 13, Cruz, seven and 13-month old Harper - as they both vied for Pole Position.
Tom said: ''David and Victoria are very competitive.''
Bandmate Nathan Sykes agreed, adding: ''They are, in all honesty.''
Tom - who makes up the band with David, Siva, Max George and Jay McGuiness - also confided he lost his cool when he last met with David and he recognised who he was.
He explained: ''I was in a steakhouse the other day, David was there with his friend and he goes, 'Tom! Tom!' I was like, 'he knows me personally, like one-on-one name basis.
''This is the coolest moment of my life.''
The Wanted appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards last night (06.09.12), where they presented a trophy with 'Bridesmaids' comedienne Rebel Wilson, who gave them a shock when she appeared on stage in a white T-Shirt with a bikini painted on top, but covering her lower half with a bag of potato chips. Upon offering the band some, she then revealed the lower half of the bikini T-shirt, complete with overgrown hair on the inner thighs.
