David Beckham is moving from the soccer pitch to the small screen after signing up to appear in a new sports-based Tv show for children.
The former England player announced his retirement from soccer in May (13), and he is now putting his spare time to good use by fronting a series of Tv "masterclasses" encouraging Britain's youngsters to take up sport.
The Sky Sports show, Game Changers, will be hosted by retired sprint star Darren Campbell and will feature Olympic gold medallist Jessica Ennis, as well as Beckham, in regular slots.
Beckham tells Britain's The Sun, "It's an ambition of mine to inspire more young people to take part in sport. I'm excited to be one of a great group of athletes contributing to Game Changers and working with Sky, who have the passion to make it happen."
The programme, which will be shot in front of a studio audience, kicks off on 17 August (13) and will be aired every Saturday morning in the U.K.
