Retired sports star David Beckham has dismissed rumours suggesting he will return to soccer as a coach, as he has "never been interested" in managing his own team.

The British player announced his retirement from the game in May (13), and many fans expected him to take up a post behind the scenes in the soccer world or even start up his own club.

However, Beckham is adamant coaching is not in his current career plan, telling Britain's The Times, "Management has never interested me at all, I must admit. In five or 10 years, I might turn around and say 'I actually fancy management', but I don't think that's ever going to happen. I enjoy other stuff more."

Recent rumours suggested Beckham was planning to create and coach his own soccer team in Florida.
