British soccer superstar David Beckham and his wife VICTORIA are making secret plans to move to exclusive Bel Air in Los Angeles. The news adds to speculation that the newly-retired England captain is considering quitting European football and ending his club career with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Galaxy spokesman PATRICK CONNELLY insists news of a major signing concerning the Real Madrid star has yet to hit his ears, but that doesn't mean secretive talks aren't going ahead. He says, "I'm not aware of this, but it's true to say we do have a great relationship with David Beckham. "Our general manager, ALEXEI LALAS, is a big fan and has stated that we'd certainly be interested in signing a world-class player of David Beckham's calibre if he wanted to play for us. "But there are all sorts of limitations to consider - Major League Soccer (MLS) teams have fixed salary budgets and I'm sure Beckham would come at a hefty price." Beckham hosts his California soccer camp, the David Beckham Academy, at the Galaxy's Home Depot Center stadium and is frustrated that his work schedule in Spain hasn't allowed him to spend time with US kids keen to learn soccer skills. Academy managing director BILL PETERSON says, "David was planning a trip but new management at Real Madrid has stepped up its schedule and now it's looking unlikely that he'll get here this summer." Meanwhile, website TMZ.com claims the Beckhams have found a house in swanky Bel Air and are now furniture shopping so their new mansion will be ready to move into when the couple and their children arrive.
