David Beckham will make an appearance on Italy's Big Brother show, it has been claimed.
The England footballer was unveiled yesterday at AC Milan to play for the club during his US side La Galaxy's off-season.
Italian prime minister and media magnate Silvio Berlusconi owns the club as well as his Mediaset holdings.
There is already a strong culture of Italian footballers being more prominent on television than is the case with their Premier League counterparts in England and Beckham will be expected to do his bit, a source told the Star.
"Beckham is very high profile and to get him on Big Brother would be a ratings winner," an Italian TV insider told the tabloid.
Contestants on Grande Fratello probably wouldn't mind too much either.
Beckham's time at the San Siro is convenient for his fashionista wife Victoria, who was seen lunching with style icons Steffano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce after her arrival in the city.
"I'm very, very excited. Everyone has been so friendly and I love Milan," she told the Star.
