Soccer star David Beckham is furious about the circulation of illegal photographs of him adjusting his genitals on his hotel balcony.

Britain's FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (FA) warned newspapers that the use of such controversial photos is a criminal act and is furious that the newspapers have published the images - showing the ENGLAND captain with his hands in his underpants - despite their emphasis on the importance of protecting the privacy of the England squad during their stay in Portugal.

An FA spokesman says, "David was in his hotel room and having shut the door behind him he has a reasonable expectation that his privacy should be respected. In Portugal use of such pictures is a criminal act. We will certainly go to the PRESS COMPLAINTS COMMISSION and look at any other possible avenues."

The Real Madrid player has cancelled a press conference in light of the controversial pictures.
