The special 90-minute doc will go out in time for this summer's World Cup
There are many strings to David Beckham’s bow. A long and illustrious career in football is one of them, as he uses his sporting nous to potentially create an empire over in Miami. Acting is another one; though only for special occasions, like his cameo on 'Only Fools and Horses.' And he likes to support charities, too. But traversing Brazil’s vibrant rainforest is new to us.
Becks drops in on Del Boy and Rodders for Sports Relief
Beckham, accompanied on his expedition by fellow explorers Dave Gardner and Derek White, travelled to Brazil in secret to make the 90-minute film, which will tie in with this Summer’s World Cup, giving fans an insight into the country’s natural beauty while swarms of football fans descend upon city centres to soak up the atmosphere.

Who's making the rounds at this year's NY Fashion Week.
Fashion Week is in full swing, so as per tradition, everyone is looking to the front row at fashion shows as much as the runway. For a while now, the front row has been the place to be seen, not just to see next season’s looks. So it’s about time for a round-up of this year’s most fashion-conscious celebrities.
Robb might play an 80s suburban teen on television, but her style definitely wasn't left behind.
The Rebecca Minkoff show on Friday attracted a whole host of Millenial Hollywood starlets. Anna Kendrick sat next to Carrie Underwood, who sat next to The Carrie Diaries star AnaSophia Robb, who sat next to Girls star Zosia Mamet. In short, it was like a nominees list for a Teen Choice award. Apparently, after taking fashion blogs by storm, Rebecca Minkoff is now steadily conquering young Hollywood as well. And with a collection dominated by short skirts, school girl inspired uniform dresses and uber-trendy dark makeup looks, it’s no surprise that the show appears to the younger crowd.

Beckham has been planning on kicking off the franchise since 2007...
David Beckham has finally confirmed that he’ll be taking the option to start a Miami-based Major League Soccer franchise. The legendary midfielder plied his trade in American soccer towards the end of his career, and has since become an ambassador for the sport.

Only Fools and Horses' David Beckham episode will air in March.
Only Fools on Horses, David Beckham? Not two things you'd traditionally put together, but both British institutions formed a comedic alliance to shoot a special sketch for BBC One's Sport Relief. The scene - filmed this week - sees the English sports star head to Peckham to meet up with Del Boy and Rodney - Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst - in a local greasy spoon.

The actors last played the wheeler-dealer Trotter brothers in a Christmas special in 2003. The new sketch will be broadcast on March 21 as part of the Sport Relief weekend.

A new documentary exposes some of the less glamorous aspects of being a star footballer.
If you’ve gone to university, chances are you’ve had to go through at least one embarrassing initiation ceremony. Some of these are harmless, some have been condemned by media and authorities, but none fit the description of TMI better than David Beckham’s own horror story. Recalling his initiation into the Man United ’92 team, Becks had the following to say.
Becks recalls some of the more gruesome moments of his career for a new documentary.
Everyone had an initiation that you had to go through on the youth team, that was one of the most uncomfortable ones!”

Check out the prodigal 6 in a new trailer below.
As Manchester United’s most famous crop of players, the class of 92 – otherwise known as David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil and Gary Neville – are receiving their very own documentary, chronicling their rise to football stardom in 1992 right up until the infamous treble-winning 1999 season.
You’ll see interviews from former footballers Zinedine Zidane and Eric Cantona, film director Danny Boyle, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Mani from The Stone Roses as they recount both the sporting and cultural impact their achievement – and mere presence – brought about.
The story of English football's super six has been told in a new documentary.
It’s a pretty good time for football fanatics, especially Manchester United fans, off the field anyway. Alex Ferguson’s book has given an unrivalled insight into the iconic British club since his retirement, and now we’ll be able delve into the Class of 92, seeing United’s greatest generation up close and personal.

David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil and Gary Neville are all special footballers. Not only did they all enjoy illustrious careers – Ryan Giggs still does – but they all grew up together, and cut their teeth under the same, all-powerful manager: Sir Alex.
Taylor Swift is rumoured to be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming spy film, although conflicting rumours have emerged that say otherwise. So what's the deal?
Rumour has it that Taylor Swift will be making the leap on to the big screen in the upcoming British spy caper The Secret Service, with the country-tinged pop starlet apparently due to fill in one of the cameo appearances that are being dished out to famous faces such as David Beckham, Elton John and Adele. Although certain rumours suggest that the part is as good as hers, others claim that this is all bogus and Taylor hasn't even been approached by film bosses. So what gives?
Taylor Swift is tipped to play a cameo role in the spy film
A report from the UK's Daily Mirror states that Swift has landed the cameo role already, in which she will play a butt-kicking escapee of villainous Samuel L Jackson's character. The cameo appearance supposedly features her squaring up to the baddie after fleeing his lair and is one of many cameos lined up for the film, which has been described as being like a modern day version of James Bond (so Skyfall then). David Beckham is also being strongly linked with the role, as have Elton John and Adele, however it is Taylor who has given the first rebuttal and supposedly denied the rumours linking her with the role.
Will Goldenballs be providing another cameo?
David Beckham joining The Secret Service? Sounds about right, even if it’s only the film and not the U.S federal law enforcement agency. In fact, they both sound totally feasible to us. The English ex-footballer will be making his third film appearance alongside Colin Firth and Sir Michael Caine in the Matthew Vaughn-directed film, The Secret Service, if The Sun are to be believed.
A source said: "Becks was asked by Colin Firth if he'd like to be in the movie but he is yet to fully commit. He loves movies and fancies appearing on the big screen - but just as a one-off, not a full-time career." But Becks isn’t the only British star said to be in demand for this film; glamerous singer Elton John is said to be wanted for a fight scene. We would really like that to happen, please. And if it does, it’s due to start shooting this autumn.
Since Sir David quit football, he’s been fulfilling an ambassadorial role for the Chinese Football Association, as well as travelling the globe for sports initiatives and charitable causes. He retired from the game while playing for the recently minted Paris Saint Germain, whose supporters recognised his commitment to the sport by performing a standing ovation at his last game.

Odds are in for the successor to Matt Smith's Doctor Who - who will become the next Doctor?
Matt Smith hasn't even given up his role as the Doctor in the BBC's Doctor Who yet but speculation is already rife over who will take over command of the TARDIS as the eleventh incarnation of the Doctor is set to step down this Christmas, having debuted in January 2010.
William Hill have drawn up a list of odds; the most favourable, surprisingly, is for the next Doctor to be played by a female actor.
The bookies current favourite, at 10/1, is 31 year-old Russell Tovey, best known for his roles as werewolf, George Sands, in BBC drama Being Human and the character, Rudge, in both the stage and screen adaptations of The History Boys. Tovey took to Twitter to lament the stepping down of Smith in a statement that has fuelled speculation he might be in talk to be the next Doctor: "Sad to hear of Matt Smith's doctor departure, he truly is a superb actor and made the Doc proper.. Who's next tho eh? Who's next.. Hmmm x" Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise, jointly ranks alongside Tovey with 10/1 odds. William Hill spokesman, Rupert Adams says he thinks Grint, 24, would "be perfect for the role."

David Beckham’s latest offspring, Harper, might only be 1-year-old, but he’s already warning potential dates that she’s strictly off-limits. Effectively, all you 1-year-old dudes with design son a celebrity wife – hands off.
Beckham’s stance on dating is pretty fierce. "Absolutely not,” the now-retired football said to The Sun when asked about his little girl dating. “She’s not going out. She’s going to be like Rapunzel – up in the tower." Beckham has plenty of boys, three in fact, but his first girl has got him locked firmly in protective mode. "To have a daughter is a whole different thing. I’m not saying I love my daughter more, but the boys are independent," he explains. With Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, and Cruz aged 8, it’s not just their gender that makes them a little more self-sufficient. Apart from protecting his protégé, Beckham seems to be protecting his assets, too. He’s investigating the possibility of investing in a new Major League Soccer franchise based in Florida."I think Miami fans are very passionate about their sports and very passionate about winning," he said. "It's definitely exciting."
His recent retirement from professional football, aged 38, came as quite a surprise, despite most outfield players struggling to make it past 35. He finished his illustrious career in Paris, which started in Manchester and made it’s way to Spain and Italy before culminating in the French capital.

Apparently, both families are hockey fans.
It was an idyllic family night out as the Beckhams joined the Cruise clan at an L.A. Kings game last night. Tom Cruise was joined by his son Connor, while the Beckhams were out in full force – David, alongside Victoria and their brood - Romeo, Cruz, Brooklyn and even adorable little Harper Beckham, clearly enjoying the game from her father’s lap. The Beckhams and the Cruises – two of the most talked about families in the business, have been palling around ever since Victoria and David’s hyped up relocation to the US of A a few years back. Unfortunately, even after all of David’s hard work, football or, as those silly Yanks insist on calling it, soccer, never quite managed to catch on in the States, but hey, at least the family is managing alright in their social life.
Before the night ended, David even got caught on Kiss Cam and gave the ever excitable Harper a peck on the cheek, while she stared at the Jumbo screen in fascination. Yes, it was probably the most endearing moment the Beckhams have had in public. And, now that we know the Beckhams are Kings supporters, you can keep an eye out for the clan in Kiss Cams throughout the season. It was definitely an “aww” worthy moment.
Victoria Beckham suggests fans get the wrong impression of her from paparazzi photographs.
Victoria Beckham has admitted that fans presume she will be "a cow" after seeing photographs of her in the press. The fashion designer is rarely seen beaming with delight in paparazzi snaps, though speaking at the Vogue Festival in central London, the wife of David Beckham joked, "Everyone thinks I'm going to be such a cow - I get it because I think the same when I see the pictures."
The 39-year-old, who is recognized as one of the biggest designers in the world, also discussed the challenges of juggling her expanding brood with her booming business. "I'm a perfectionist, I like everything to be right. I'm probably a complete pain in the neck to work with because it is really important to me because I've grown this brand from nothing to where it is now," she said. Beckham noted that she constantly feels guilty being a working mother, "I think you feel so torn, don't you?" she said, adding, "But I've got great people who handle my schedule and everything does revolve around the children."
After spending several years in Los Angeles, Victoria and David are back in London, though he is currently playing in France for Paris-St Germain. "Living in London is very, very different from Los Angeles, but it's great, it's inspiring. London is such an inspiring place to live, so multicultural, it's interesting, I'm happy," Victoria added.

Victoria Beckham and husband David are said to have become "posher" since their move to Los Angeles.
A study by students at the University of Manchester has found that David and Victoria Beckham and changed the way they speak to sound less working class. Using YouTube clips from before and after the couple's move to America in 2007, one team of students found that David in particular was less likely to drop his 'H's' and use cockney sounding vowels. Another team discovered that Posh was more likely to pronounce the 'L' at the end of words such as 'all.'
According to the students, Victoria would have made 'all' sound like 'aw' in her Spice Girls days. Linguistics lecturer Dr Laurel MacKenzie supervised the study, "Linguists have determined that when languages change, it is primarily children and teenagers who drive those changes. Pronunciation isn't static, but changes gradually over hundreds of years. This is why Chaucer sounded so different 600 years ago - and it's children who facilitate this process," he said.

David Beckham chills out with his little girl after a stressful night at 'work'
David Beckham had a nice relaxing day with his daughter, Harper, in London after a rather heated argument with a member of the opposition while playing for Paris Saint German last night in France.
The 37-year-old footballer, model and all-round British icon strolled around Kensington with his daughter while sporting a pair of trendy brown desert boots, jeans and his now customary flat cap. All the walking became a bit too strenuous for Harper, and daddy Beckham had to pick her up to alleviate her wee legs. Becks was likely relaxing after what turned out to be a rather tempestuous first start for his new club PSG. St Etienne’s workhorse Brazilian forward, Brandao, and Goldenballs got into a bit of a scuffle after he stepped on compatriot and Beckham’s team mate, Thiago Silva’s shin. Good ol’ D-Beck stepped right in to defend the centre back, before they had to be separated. Beckham signed for the newly minted PSG in the Janurary transfer window, and warmed everyone’s hearts by announcing his salary at the club, which, considering the hefty funds at their disposal will be very high, is to be donated to a children’s charity rather than Beckham’s presumably already swelling account.
Still going - Becks
David Beckham has numerous promotional campaigns with various companies but none of them raise the heartrates of women across the nation more than his underwear line with H&M. Becks has uploaded some photos from his latest shoot onto Facebook. Some people are questioning: Is this Beckham's sexiest ad ever?
"I'm excited about the new H&M campaign directed by Guy Ritchie... the campaign will launch in early Feb'." He said, via Facebook. In many respects Guy Ritchie seems a truly odd choice to direct a 'sexy' ad campaign. While Snatch is a hugely enjoyable film, it's about as far from 'sexy' as any film can get - Jason Statham's stilted dialogue entirely detracts from his looks. However, as the Mirror reminds us, Ritchie 'was the man who brought us Sienna Miller in suspenders". There's hope yet.
Beckham has modelled underwear before, along with his wife, for Armani in a memorable black and white campaign. This ad will see him wearing khaki pants and a black vest running through the gardens of Beverly Hills, showing off his tattoos and athletic physique. As the Sun reports, Guy said "For me this felt more than a campaign - it was like directing a short film." Adding that Becks was "the perfect leading man."
Never one to mince his words, Morrissey has taken aim at the Beckhams in his latest rant, labelling David and Victoria "insufferable" and suggesting he'd have them "dragged to the edge of the village and flogged." The former Smiths man has taken aim at Sir Paul McCartney, the London Olympics and the Royal Family in recent months, though the former Manchester United star and his fashion designer wife have come in for particular scorn.
Speaking to Loaded magazine, the 53-year-old mused, "I'd... have the Peckhams dragged to the edge of the village and flogged because they are insufferable to anyone of intelligence, and they actively chase the paparazzi." Following the end of his contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy, it is rumoured that Beckham will search for new employment in London. He and Victoria are reportedly renting a home in Kensington, West London, in time for the new school term, though Morrissey thinks it's bad news for everyone involved. "We don't seem to realise that David and Victoria Peckham will soon be back and god forbid they will be bestowed with titles Sir and Lady Peckham, this is what's wrong with this country, we don't seem to care," he said, adding, "Football often seems to me to have no meaning whatsoever other than just to be there. It can't be elevated any higher because so many footballers are paid £200,000 a week, yet couldn't identify a harp."

If we were to judge the British educative system of state schools by the standards of the tabloids that line the shelves of the nation's newsagents, then the majority of our children would barely be able to write their own name before the age of 16.
Of course, in fact, the country offers one of the best educations to be found world wide but if you can pay for the best, then why not? That's precisely what the Beckhams have opted for a £15,000 p/a school for their three boys, to coincide with their return to living in the UK.
As the Mirror reports, "both David and Victoria's families are all delighted too as a return to London means they will see so much more of the children,' a source said. "'For David and Victoria, the children come first. They have spent months researching schools and after visiting a few earlier this month, have found one they agree on. It's an independent school and will not be fazed by having celebrity children on its books."

Robbie Williams, David Beckham, Princess Diana, and a few people actually deserving of the honour, have all been included in a 150-strong shortlist of potential replacements for Charles Darwin on the back of the £10 note.
The Bank Of England has released a list of more than 150 great Britons that have been suggested by members of the public for the honour when the new notes are printed. Currently, the Bank of England £10 notes are Series E, but are due to be replaced with the new Series F notes next year, which means a change to the person on the back of the note too.
Whilst the thought of having someone like Becks or Robbie on the English currency may have caused a series of face-palms to occur up and down the country, fortunately it is looking as though someone of genuine historic significance may take the honour instead. Phew!
Is it time for David Beckham to concede to his offspring? With Romeo Beckham - the English footballer's second child - being unveiled as the face of Burberry's new advertising campaign, the 'young Becks' as we like to call them, might be taking centre stage.
Described as "a joy to work with" by Burberry's chief creative officer Christopher Bailey, it seems as though Romeo is already making friends in high places, despite being only 10-years-old. "We had such fun shooting the campaign and I think that comes through in the images which really reflect the upbeat spirit of the collection," said Baily. The advert was shot by renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino, long time Burberry collaborator, and the man behind the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's engagement portraits. "This season's campaign lights up with the infectious energy of an amazing young cast of old and new Burberry family," Baily continued, "Cara, Edie Campbell, Charlotte Wiggins, Charlie France and Alex Dunstan are joined by Max Rendell and Romeo, who was a joy to work with and really stole the show."
Victoria and David Beckham have three sons - Brooklyn, 13; Romeo, 10; and Cruz, seven - as well as daughter Harper, who was born in July 2011. David and the three boys walked the red carpet at the premiere of the Spice Girls musical Viva Forever last week in support of Victoria. They were sporting bespoke Burberry suits.
It was only a matter of time before one of the Beckham children began capitalising on their inherited blessings, both fiscally and genetically. Ten year old Romeo Beckham, the second of the bunch of four offspring, is the new face of Burberry. His first campaign video, for their Spring/Summer 2013 collection, was released online today.
Romeo is clearly the centre of their latest campaign, with the video hiding the youngster, showing a mysterious model walking across a platform and popping his collar before revealing the endearingly gappy grin of Romeo Beckham. "We are excited to reveal news of the Burberry Spring Summer 2013 campaign cast, featuring Romeo Beckham and Cara Delevingne, Edie Campbell, Charlotte Wiggins, Alex Dunstan, Charlie France and Max Rendell", Burberry said in a statement, reported by the Mirror.
He was a natural choice for the Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey, particularly after being included in GQ's best men list in January 2011, and his mum Victoria Beckham having spoken so frequently about Romeo's love of fashion. "I think that my middle son thinks that he is going to take over." She said, "Romeo likes to get involved. He likes to go out in a suit with a bowler hat - he's a real fashion lover."

Jessica Ennis has topped a poll of the most searched sports personality in the UK, according to Yahoo UK, who ran the survey.
The gold medal winning heptathlete battled off competition from all corners of the sports spectrum to climb to the top of the table, with Olympians, footballers and tennis stars succumbing to the second fiddle behind Sheffield's biggest star.
Behind Jess was Andy Murray at number two, with another British female Olympiad taking the number three spot: Victoria Pendleton. Two more London 2012 heroes made the list, with Tom Daley at number five and Jamaica's most famous (living) son Usain Bolt at number ten.

All you female Olly Murs fans, forget it, you're never getting your hands on the X Factor star. For all you male Olly Murs fans though, things are looking up! The 'Troublemaker' singer has named two of the world's biggest stars as his ideal men.
Ok, so he was asked who he'd go for if he was gay - which he's not - but we don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. Speaking to the Daily Star, Murs explained, "My ideal man, if I were gay, would be David Beckham or George Clooney. Both are successful, good-looking and talented." Nice choices Olly! But just to make it very, very, clear that he's definitely not gay, the singer added, "I have never kissed a bloke. Not seriously anyway." Despite hammering home the fact that he's straight, Murs remains single and claims he is yet to find 'the one.' "I went on a couple of dates with a girl. That went really well. But I'm still single. It's just that time of year when I'm so busy with work," he said.
After scoring a UK No.1 single with Troublemaker, Murs could be on-course to do the chart double with his third studio album Right Place Right Time. Surely there must be a girl out there who's interested in the successful singer? Failing that, Clooney and Beckham might be persuaded.
