David Bailey, Beatles, Marianne Faithful, Michael Caine, Rolling Stones, The Rolling Stones, Twiggy and Vanity Fair - BAILEY TURNS 70 DAVID BAILEY and CATHERINE BAILEY at the British Fashion Awards 2004 held at the V & A Museum London, England - Celebrated British photographer David Bailey will turn 70 on 2 January (08). The 69-year-old is famous for changing the face of fashion photography after starting his career freelancing for Vogue magazine in the 1960s. But Bailey is most well known for his portraits of celebrities including iconic shots of the Beatles, Twiggy, Marianne Faithful and Sir Michael Caine. The legendary photographer has also been responsible for some of the world's most recognisable album covers including The Rolling Stones' second LP - The Rolling Stones No. 2. Despite being well past retirement age, Bailey is still one of the world's most in-demand photographers having branched out into directing TV commercials.
