Rocker Dave Navarro is adding a helping hand to Inxs' hunt for a new frontman, by hosting a show tracking the search.

The Australian band's singer Michael Hutchence died in 1997 after a suspected suicide, and years later the surviving members have embarked on a search of six continents for a new frontman.

The AMERICAN IDOL-like search will be chronicled for TV show ROCKSTAR: INXS, which will be hosted by Navarro and US TV personality Brooke Burke.

Navarro, husband of Carmen Electra, will also help advise members of INXS as they narrow down the competition.

The viewers will ultimately decide the winner of the show, which is set to debut in America on 11 July (05).
