Watch Steve Buscemi And Danny Trejo Transported Into 'The Brady Bunch' In Snickers' Superbowl Spot

Danny Trejo Steve Buscemi Florence Henderson Maureen McCormick

You may have to do a double take when watching the Snickers’ Superbowl commercial this Sunday. While the advert takes us back in time to the familiar world of 'The Brady Bunch', something just isn’t quite right as Marcia and Jan look remarkably like tough guy actors Danny Trejo and Steve Buscemi.

Danny TrejoDanny Trejo takes on his toughest role yet in the Snickers Superbowl commercial

The advert is a take on the much loved series’ most famous episode, the one where Marcia gets hit in the face with a football, breaking her nose. But there’s a twist, as this Marcia is a lot angrier and resembles Desperados star Danny Trejo.

Reaper Trailer

The Reaper (Mike Michaels) was formerly an ordained minister before embarking on a rampant killing spree with a brutal murder cult that believed in the homicidal cleansing of a corrupt society. After slaughtering a handful of convicted criminals from drug dealers to prostitutes, the Reaper was imprisoned and sentenced to death by electric chair, but when a power cut thwarts his fate, he manages to make an escape from the prison. He takes to a hotel where he knows various dangerous criminals will be meeting with the intention of another crazed massacre, but when one feisty girl (Shayla Beesley) finds herself fighting for survival, she is forced to face the dread she has been trying to forget. Can the Reaper be stopped once again? Or is his presence an unshakeable force damning a crime-rife society forever?

Book Of Life Trailer

In Mexico, two best friends Manolo (Diego Luna) and Joaquin (Channing Tatum) fall in love with the same girl, Maria (Zoe Saldana and so both face each other for her love. Two spirits passing through the world, La Muerte (Kate del Castillo) and Xibalba (Ron Perlman), make a bet over who will triumph out of the two. Muerte on Manolo and Xibalba on Joaquin. When the Xibalba feels the odds are against him, he brings Manolo into The Land Of The Remembered.

The Book Of Life sees Manolo setting out on an exciting, but dangerous journey across three majestic worlds where he will face his greatest challenges, in order to return to Mexico and win over Maria once and for all.

From producer Guillermo Del Toro, The Book Of Life is an animated comedy film directed by Jorge Gutierrez and written by Gutierrez and Doug Langdale (Aladdin: The Return of Jafar). The Book Of Life sees Gutierrez attempt a Nightmare Before Christmas esque Tim Burton style, with jovially dark animation. With exceptional visuals and a story of fortitude, The Book Of Life should be a loveable film for all.

Muppets Most Wanted Review

OK

Where the 2011 reboot felt effortless in the way it recaptured that warmly anarchic Muppets humour, this sequel feels like it's working every step of the way. Yes, it's riotously silly and occasionally hilarious, but there are large chunks of the movie that just aren't funny at all, mainly because there's so much emphasis on the tangled web of a plot that the characters get lost in the shuffle.

It starts just as the last movie ended: the Muppets decide to do a sequel based on an idea from interloper Dominic (Ricky Gervais) to take their show on a world tour. But Dominic is actually in league with super-villain frog Constantine (Matt Vogel), who has just escaped from a gulag. So when the Muppet Show lands in Berlin, he orchestrates a swap: Constantine takes Kermit's place in the show, while Kermit (Steve Whitmire) is sent to Siberia under the watchful eye of guard Nadya (Tina Fey). Meanwhile, Interpol agent Jean-Pierre (Burrell) and CIA operative Sam Eagle (Eric Jacobson) are investigating a series of robberies mysteriously linked to Muppet performances in Berlin, Madrid and Dublin.

All of this builds to a head in London, where Constantine is staging an elaborate wedding to Miss Piggy (Jacobson) to distract from his real plan to steal the Crown Jewels. But this plot-strand feels predictable and limp compared to much more interesting character interaction. For example, scenes between Kermit and Fey are a lot more fun as they plan a musical revue with the inmates (and get Trejo and Liotta sing and dance!). And the escalating banter between Sam Eagle and Burrell is hilarious even as it indulges in cheap Euro-jokes.

When no body is found around where he landed and no one of his resemblance has been rushed to the nearby hospital or, indeed, the police station, Ava starts to believe he's been kidnapped in a dastardly ploy to get at both of them. But it's a case of 'hell hath no fury.' for Ava, who doesn't care who dies as long as she gets her husband back.

Muppets Most Wanted - Clip

Kermit and friends are set to go international with the help of their unfortunately named new tour manager Dominic Badguy, with hopes of selling-out major theatres in all the big cities of the world including Berlin, Madrid and London. As usual though, things are not about to run smoothly for these trouble magnets as they are forced to postpone their tour when Kermit becomes under suspicion for robbery. It's bad luck for him that there's another frog in town - the formidable Constantine, who organises a jewel heist with the knowledge that he may evade capture because of his unwitting doppelganger. Constantine tries to pretend he's Kermit amongst the other Muppets in an effort to evade detection while Kermit gets locked up, but will they realise their mistake in time to release their real friend and finish their tour?
