Hollywood star Danny Glover has hailed forthcoming movie DREAMGIRLS one of the most powerful films ever seen. The Lethal Weapon actor insists the movie, based on the award-winning Broadway musical, will be talked about for years to come. Glover stars alongside Jamie Foxx, Beyonce Knowles and Eddie Murphy in the tale of a black all-girl singing trio from Chicago who are propelled to fame, and he is certain the performances will match the calibre of seminal race movie The Color Purple, in which he also starred. He says, "Dreamgirls is something very special. "It has such a strong appeal, even 25 years since its release on stage. "This is going to be quite powerful. In 20 years time they're going to be talking about it in the way they talk about THE COLOR PURPLE."
