Las Vegas showman DANNY GANS had a feeling he was about to die when he performed his last show last week (ends01May09) and switched a final tune - so he could go out with the perfect swansong.
The beloved singing impressionist ended his last show with the song The Curtain Falls.
Ironically, his finale came just days after he completed work on his autobiography. Gans was found dead at his home on Friday (01May09).
Gans' longtime manager Chip Lightman says, "He didn't sleep well on Wednesday night, so on Thursday in the late afternoon he went to sleep."
Friends are still mystified as to what caused the fit tee-totaller's death at 52.
Pal Donny Osmond says, "I spoke to Danny just a couple of weeks ago and there were no indications of any poor health."
Autopsy results are pending.
