Danny Devito's It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia castmates have banded together to lend the actor and his estranged wife Rhea Perlman their support following the couple's shock split.
The Hollywood veterans announced they had parted ways after 30 years of marriage on Monday (08Oct12), and DeVito's Tv pals Rob MCElhenney, Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day have now expressed their sympathy for the pair.
Show creator and star MCElhenney tells People.com, "I spoke with him yesterday and obviously he's bummed and we're bummed for him. We love them both and this is a really difficult time for both of them, so we're supporting both of them."
Day admits news of the separation came as a shock, but states, "All we can say is, we love them both and we wish them the best."
Howerton insists the whole cast is upset about the break-up because Perlman is "part of the family", and Day's actress wife, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, who plays The Waitress on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, adds, "It's always sad when something like this happens with your friends, but we love them both very much."
