Famed film producer Danny Boyle'S latest release SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE has been selected to close this years LONDON FILM FESTIVAL.
Its 12 years since Boyles TRAINSPOTTING visited the slums of Edinburgh and this time its Mumbai that opens its doors to the darker side of life.
The film stars Dev Patel as an illiterate Indian street kid who manages to win Kaun Banega Crorepat (Who Wants to be a Millionaire) that he entered in an attempt to find his missing girlfriend who watched the show religiously.
In its 52nd year the LONDON FILM FESTIVAL will run from 15th - 30th October and will showcase about 180 feature films and 130 short film.
Last years festival included films such as "JUNO", "BEE MOVIE", Sean Penn's "Into The Wild" and John Cusack's "GRACE iS GONE". The full 2008 lineup will be released shortly.
