Movie star Danny Aiello has joined a group of New York businessmen filing a $30 million (GBP18.75 million) lawsuit against city authorities, claiming they sabotaged attempts to create a new movie studio.

The DO THE RIGHT THING star was part of a bid by STAPLETON STUDIOS bosses to turn a disused naval base in Staten Island into a movie studio.

In court papers, the business collective claims it had already spent $2 million (GBP1.25 million) on the project when city authorities evicted them from the property last year (SEP02).
