Daniel Radcliffe is on the look out for the perfect stars to cast in his first screenplay after missing out on the chance to recruit his actor pals Dane DeHaan and Adam Driver for the project.

The Harry Potter star recently told Wenn he was eager to step behind the camera to write and eventually direct, and now he's completed his first script.

Radcliffe is now looking to get the screenplay picked up for production and admits he wanted to cast his Kill Your Darlings co-star DeHaan and Lincoln actor Driver in two of the leads - but they are too busy to take on his project, the details of which he is currently keeping under wraps.

He tells Us Weekly magazine, "I actually wrote a script. If I had finished sooner, I'd try to cast my friends, like Dane and Adam Driver. But they're all too busy to make a movie with me now."
