Daniel Radcliffe refuses to read reviews of his performances because he's convinced acknowledging critics' comments is like listening to a roomful of "people telling you how terrible you are".
The Harry Potter star took time out from the wizard franchise in 2007 to play a risque role in Equus, which saw him strip naked in front of a live audience.
And when quizzed about the critical acclaim the part won him, the Brit admitted he never reads any of the write-ups - whether they are good or bad.
He tells U.S. newswoman Katie Couric, "I don't read the reviews... If you're going to read the good ones, you have to read the bad ones. And I certainly don't want to read the bad ones! So I'm not going to read the good ones.
"The closest thing I've done to that is, I once went online and read, like, some things people were saying about me. And that was just the biggest mistake... It is like opening a door into a room of people telling you how terrible you are."
