Actor Daniel Craig once helped a girlfriend steal a frozen duck from a supermarket by pretending to be an expectant dad.

The Skyfall star admits to the crime in a new Rolling Stone expose, explaining he only shoplifted from stores that could afford missing food - and only when he was starving.

Craig says, "I played decoy, and she (girlfriend) got it up her shirt, which was quite a feat, I have to say, but she did it with aplomb, pretending she was pregnant.

"I only stole from supermarkets that could afford it. I want to make that perfectly clear. But, f**k, you know, we didn't have anything to eat, and we had to feed ourselves."
