The actor sat down for a chat on U.K. show This Morning but the interview took a saucy turn when journalist Sarah Powell demanded to know why the only time he appears with his shirt off in new 007 movie Spectre is in the opening credits.

Craig sent female hearts fluttering when he emerged from the sea in skimpy shorts in his 2006 Bond debut Casino Royale, and when Powell asked, "Why haven't you got your kit off (in Spectre)?" he quietly replied, "I do in the opening sequence... That's all I could give... No, it just didn't happen."

Powell then asked, "Has Bond gone shy?" prompting Craig to chuckle and reply, "He's going shy now!"

The interview then became even more awkward when Powell told the actor she is a fan of the 'Daniel Craig Pout' and asked him to purse his lips, but the star repeatedly declined.

When Powell persisted, Craig told her, "No... I think you need to move on."

Craig also left TV bosses scrambling to edit the interview seconds before broadcast after cursing at the end of the chat.

Referring to reports his wife Rachel Weisz has a car sticker printed with the words 'Mrs Daniel Craig', Powell told Craig she had a similar banner for him, eliciting a four-letter word from the star.

As producers prepared to air the interview, host Phillip Schofield received a hurried message and replied, "He swears a bit does he?" before telling viewers, "Okay, so that's had to be taken out."
