Daniel Craig is set to star as James Bond in 'Skyfall', the 23rd instalment in the long-running series.

The title of the movie - which is also set to star Berenice Marlohe, Naomie Harris and Dame Judi Dench - was officially announced today (03.11.11), and it was confirmed Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney will also join the cast.

Director Sam Mendes insisted the latest film will feature "a lot of action" for the fictional spy, who has previously been portrayed by Sir Sean Connery, Sir Roger Moore and Piers Brosnan.

He told reporters: "It, I think, has all the elements of a classic Bond movie, including, to quell any rumors, a lot of action."

Berenice will star as the latest Bond Girl, while Naomie is set to portray a field agent called Eve, and she has been getting physically fit for the role.

She explained: "I've been doing yoga three times a week to get into shape and stunt-driving and firing machine guns, which I've discovered I've got a real taste for."

The film is set to hit British cinemas on October 26, 2012 and big screens in the US on November 9, 2012.
