American TV writer Damon Lindelof was bombarded with online abuse from angry fans of hit show Lost after this year's (10) dramatic climax.
The drama came to a close in May (10) after six years onscreen, but many viewers were unhappy with the ending.
Speaking at Saturday's (31Jul10) Television Critics Association's (TCA) awards, co-creator Lindelof revealed that he received abuse from fans on Twitter.com following the final episode.
He read out several of the messages to the audience, which included, "Hey, douche! Instead of backpacking in Europe or whatever the f**k you're doing, how about you give me six years of my life back?" and "My very first Tweet. I started this account just to let you know how disappointed I am in you."
Lost was named joint winner of the Outstanding Achievement in Drama award, along with Breaking Bad, at the awards ceremony.
