Hip-hop producer Damon Dash is having to overcome prejudice from his London neighbours, who look at him "funny" and complain about the noise levels emanating from his luxury apartment.

The ROC-A-FELLA mogul owns a $9 million (GBP5 million) pad in the capital's exclusive Chelsea area - but is having a tough time winning over his neighbours who worry they will get "shot" whenever they see Dash and his entourage.

Dash says, "My neighbours are - shall I say - interesting people.

"I've got the odd letter through the door complaining about noise and sometimes they look at me funny.

"The other day after I went out jogging, I was chilling with my security in front of my house and a lady came up to me.

"She said, 'Oh my God, I hope I don't get shot around here.'

"After she said it, she realised how stupid she was. She didn't realise who I was."
