Damon Albarn has plans to record a ''proper ballad record'', as a solo album in the future.
Damon Albarn plans to record a "proper ballad record".
The Gorillaz and Blur frontman said he's always promised himself he'd make an album which will see him singing his favourite slow songs; although it could be a while before he gets to record it as he's presently making an album while on the road with his cartoon band, and planning for side project The Good The Bad and the Queen.
Damon told Spin magazine: "I've promised myself that one day there'll be a proper ballad record, I don't know - 'Damon Albarn Sings Ballads' or something."
When asked about whether a new album from The Good The Bad And The Queen will also be made, he added: "Well, I would hope so, definitely."
Damon, 42, has said he is planning to take the next few years off from touring, however, to concentrate on his family.
He added: "There won't be another world tour for me - for anything - for five to six years; it would seem unlikely. I have a young daughter and it's just not feasible, it's too long away from home."
Gorillaz's present 'Escape From Plastic Beach' world tour makes its way across Europe in November then Asia and Australia in December.
