An upcoming Dallas reunion TV special was extra hard for Victoria Principal to tape, because her beloved onscreen father-in-law couldn't be there to remember the soap.

The actress, who gave the eulogy at Jim Davis' funeral after lung cancer claimed his life in 1981, had to pull a tribute she had planned for the actor, who played patriarch JOCK EWING on the show, because she was to upset to talk about him.

She says, "I was very close to Jim Davis, so it's not that I'm remembering Jim more today, it's just that I miss Jim every day.

"The first three years that I was on Dallas I was never here without Jim."

The Dallas reunion, produced by former HAPPY DAYS star Henry Winkler, was taped at the Southfork Ranch set of the hit 1980s series.
