Buddhist leader the Dalai Lama has been released from hospital in India after undergoing tests for a pinched nerve on Monday (02Feb09). The ailing icon, 73, is refusing to cut his upcoming trip to Germany and Italy later this week (ends06Feb09) as a result of his health woes.
Doctors ruled the pinched nerve was caused by a slipped disc, but the Dalai Lama's aide Tenzin Taklha insists the problem is "nothing serious".
