If you’re not a Fifty Shades of Grey fan, that’s ok, apparently the books and upcoming movie have more than enough of those already. When the PG-13 trailer was released last Thursday, it was mostly met with sarcasm and negative comments and reviews. Because, you know, the internet. But the story of Ana Steele and Christian Grey still has a lot of momentum. Less than a week later, the teaser trailer has hit 36 million million views (as of Wednesday), making it the most watched trailer of 2014.

The first book in E. L. James’ erotic romance trilogy has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, so the question is, where did all of those book readers go? The data comes from technology firm Zefr, via The Hollywood Reporter. Views are counted across several videos, uploaded on various official channels.
