Dakota Fanning will not be wearing sweatpants in class at NYU, but has adapted her Los Angeles wardrobe to something more East Coast-friendly.
Dakota Fanning would never wear sweatpants.
The 17-year-old star is currently preparing for her first year of school at NYU, and has been struggling with her planned style while she is there, but admits it is very unlikely she will be looking scruffy.
She said: "Going to college is a bit different than going back to high school. You can kind of wear whatever you want, and I had a uniform in high school.
"If you ever catch me in sweatpants in class, that's not good. I've tried not to dress like that."
The young beauty has moved from Los Angeles to the East Coast to start her education, and she admits she has adapted her clothing to be more weather appropriate.
She added to People: "I knew to bring a lot of coats and my Hunter rain boots."
Dakota is currently the face of Marc Jacobs' perfumes, and she has loved working with him on the projects.
She said: "It's been a privilege to work with someone who you admire and actually love wearing their clothes and love their brand. I think Marc is such a genius and so creative, and I think he proves time and Time Again that he can do anything. To be involved in anything he touches in a pleasure."
