Champion Sound is the new single from Crystal Fighters and the sixth single to be taken from the band's debut album, Star of Love, which was released in October 2010 to positive reviews. Champion Sound will be released on November 14th 2011 via Zirkulo/ P.I.A.S. Crystal Fighters will be touring Europe throughout December 2011.
The video for Champion Sound was directed by Ben Strebel and Lewis Kyle White and stars Luke Treadaway, who will be known to audiences for his role in the film, Killing Bono. A young man, dressed in Victorian attire, is taken on a journey by a pretty blonde girl that ends up with him a heavyweight champion.
Crystal Fighters have made appearances on Later... With Jools Holland; 4Play and Channel 4's Abbey Road Debuts. They will soon be heading off to Basque country in Northern Spain, to begin writing their second album. The region has proved inspirational for the band, who are known for their Spanish influences in their songs.
