Crystal Bowersox, the singer-songwriter and American Idol runner-up, returned to the hit reality singing contest last night (28th April 2011) to perform her new single 'Ridin' On The Radio', reports the Examiner. Crystal Bowersox lost out to the eventual winner Lee DeWyze on the show's ninth season.
Bowersox returned to the 'Idol' stage to perform her new single for the very first time. With a 'country road' backdrop, the entertainer impressed the live studio audience with her vocal range and effortless delivery. Bowersox released her debut album 'Farmer's Daughter' on 14th December 2010 and gained a flurry of positive reviews from critics. The record debuted at number twenty-eight on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 58,000 copies in its first week of sales. As of April 17th 2011, the album had sold 184,000 copies. Bowersox was joined by the R&B singer Bruno Mars, who also performed on last night's results show. The 25-year-old sang new single 'Lazy Single', which debuted on the radio earlier this week.
After Crystal Bowersox's performance, the American Idol hopefuls were gathered on the stage to hear their fate. SCOTTY MCCREERY, JACOB LUSK and Casey Abrams found themselves in the final three, with jazz-rock singer Abrams receiving the lowest amount of votes and leaving the competition.
