Chalk up another record for The Hangover Part II fastest comedy to gross $200 million worldwide. While the final domestic tally came in slightly below studio estimates, the foreign total came in somewhat above. Warner Bros. put the 5-day domestic gross at $135 million and the overseas gross at $70.1 million, adding up to $205.1 million through Monday. The film had already broken the three-day, four-day and five-day opening records for a comedy, the record for a Memorial Day weekend, and the Friday-to-Monday holiday record for an R-rated film ($103.4 million). Meanwhile, several reports emerged on gossip websites Tuesday that screenwriters Craig Mazin and Scott Armstrong have already received instructions to crank out another sequel. Overall, with a total of $276,290,321, it was the biggest Memorial Day ever at the box office, far surpassing the previous record of $254,611,715 set in 2007. No record was set for attendance, however. An estimated 34 million moviegoers turned out at theaters versus 37 million in 2007 when Pirates Of The Caribbean At World's End hoisted its mast and 40 million in 2004 when Shrek 2 brought in the green.
