Cradle Of Filth guitarist PAUL ALLENDER scared fellow patients when he was hospitalised after a gig last summer (09) - because he was admitted to the medical facility in full costume.
The band, known for their spooky onstage disguises, cut short their set at the U.K.'s Bloodstock music festival last August (09) when the rocker was hit by a large piece of candy which was hurled on stage.
Allender was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution, but he didn't have time to change his outfit - and his gory get-up unnerved other patients.
He says, "It f**king hurt, but that's not the worst of it. I guess due to the obligation to follow procedure, they had to strap me to a spine board and haul me off to the hospital in an ambulance. So there in the middle of the hospital I lay in full stage gear and make-up. You could hear people whispering, 'He's one of those from the gig over the road...' Two hours of that all for the doctor to say I was fine. That was the first time something like this ever happened to me."
