Troubled rocker Courtney Love's assault case was pushed back to 11 January (05) yesterday (15DEC04).

The case was given a continuance when the former Hole frontwoman mentioned that she's planning to file a petition to waive her appearance at future pretrial hearings.

The prosecution opposed, arguing that Love had already been given that privilege and had abused it by failing to appear earlier this year (04).

Love is due back in court for the case on 11 January for a bail hearing and a pretrial conference.

The felony charge stems from a 25 April (04) incident at the Beverly Hills home of Love's former boyfriend. Love allegedly found a 32-year-old woman sleeping on a sofa and threw a liquor bottle at her and chased her with a flashlight.
