Ed Sheeran performed a short set of songs with Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid in Northern Ireland at the weekend, at McDaid’s sister Brid’s wedding in Londonderry.

After the bride had tied the knot with her fiancé Sandy Stratham at the Beech Hill Country House Hotel, 25 year old Sheeran teamed up with the indie guitarist and songwriter McDaid, 40, for a half-hour performance that included a selection of Snow Patrol and Sheeran hits, plus some cover versions.

Courteney Cox has revealed she regrets letting the pressures of appearances lead her to get plastic surgery earlier in her career, saying that she has “learned lessons”.

The 52 year old former ‘Friends’ star spoke to Bear Grylls in a new episode of ‘Running Wild’ that aired on Monday (August 22nd), taking time out from hiking and survivalism in the Irish Highlands to talk about her career and love life.

“Getting older, I don't think that's the easiest thing. But I have learned lessons,” she told Grylls. “I think I was trying to keep up with getting older and trying to chase that. It's something you can't keep up with.”

Courteney Cox has directed the new music video for singer Foy Vance which stars her 12-year-old daughter Coco. Coco, whose father is Cox’s ex husband David Arquette, rides a bike and enjoys ice-cream in the sentimental video and she also served as the inspiration for the track.

Former ‘Friends’ star Courteney Cox is to follow in the footsteps of her colleague Matt LeBlanc and feature in a new British comedy series, reportedly set for a pilot episode early next year.

The 51 year old has reportedly signed up for a project for ITV called ‘Truthing’, according to Deadline and the Radio Times, and is also due to take up an executive production role in the show which will produce its pilot episode in early 2017. It will also be made by the same production company behind comedy-drama favourite ‘Cold Feet’.

Twenty years ago we welcomed ‘Friends’ on to our television screens and ten years ago we bid the series an emotional farewell. But for some fans, the decade of laughs the show provided simply wasn't enough and talk of a ‘Friends’ reunion still persists, most recently when a faked poster appeared on twitter. The question is, why? Surely when the show gave us such a perfect ending, a ‘Friends’ reunion would just be a really really bad idea.

With the constant re-runs, we’ve never really been able to escape ‘Friends’ since it ended a decade ago and we’re not really complaining. The show has that comfortable familiarity with the viewer that ever sitcom strives for and when watching a re-run who hasn't thought ‘I wonder what these guys are up to now’? But that thought should really be followed by a somber slice of pure logic, a reunion just wouldn't be feasible. When the show began, the characters were in their mid twenties, figuring out their lives by way of failed relationships and jobs. Creator Marta Kauffman put it perfectly saying, ‘Friends was about that time in your life when your friends are your family.’ Bar Ross who was already one divorce in by the first series and also became a father, the ‘Friends’ gang were all initially free of serious relationships and children. As the show progressed we got the Ross and Rachel on and off saga and Monica and Chandler’s friendship blossoming into romance. Now, well, they’d all be over 40. Monica and Chandler would be raising the twins and Ross and Rachel would have a 12 year old daughter. So its difficult to imagine how the characters could be the same personalities we’d grown to love. Could you really imagine Phoebe being that ditzy pushing 50 or Joey being, well Joey, now well into his 40s? It would all just seem a little far fetched.

We all know that Lady GaGa loves to shock, so no one was actually that surprised to see the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills make a cameo appearance in her new ‘ARTPOP’ music video for ‘G.U.Y.’ Gaga isn’t the only musician to make use of celebrities in her music videos, although she is certainly the first to dress up reality TV stars as an ancient Greek chorus. Filling in for British host Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan Live on 26th July, Friends star Matthew Perry, AKA Chandler Bing, took over hosting responsibilities, showing off his natural talent for comedy in an interview with Friends co-star, Lisa Kudrow. In Perry's opening monologue during which he assesses how he and Morgan are different, he introduces his rather familiar first interviewee: "she beautiful, she's intelligent, she's hilarious and if memory serves she owes me, errr...47 dollars[...]you may remember her as being the second funniest cast member on Friends" as Kudrow's laughter filters through from offscreen.

Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps and screenwriter Marc Silverstein welcomed a healthy baby girl into their lives on 2nd July. Her representative confirmed in a statement: "I can confirm [Busy] gave birth to a baby girl on July 2 who weighed 8.5 pounds. Everyone is healthy and happy," as reported in The Daily Mail.

Courteney Cox has been doing pretty good since her divorce from husband David Arquette (which was only finalized in May this year) and now appears to have moved on entirely. The actress is dating her onscreen ex husband (funny coincidence there) Brian Van Holt. The pair reportedly met on the set of Cox’s show Cougar Town, according to Us Weekly, who announced the relationship. So would that then be art imitating life, or the other way around?

Cox is moving on.

The relationship was made official (sort of) when Cox and her new beau were spotted dining together at West Hollywood’s Chi Lin. Apparently the two “acted like boyfriend and girlfriend,” the curious onlooker says. The relationship has been going on for a while, but now that David Arquett has gone public with his girlfriend Christina McLarty, the Cougar Town star finally has the green light to reveal her own budding romance.

Courteney Cox's divorce from David Arquette is finally complete, two years after the couple decided to end their decade long marriage. "Irreconcilable differences have caused the irremediable breaking of the marriage," say the papers signed by Cox, Arquette and a judge. "The marital status of the parties is terminated."

Friends actress Cox, 48, and movie actor Arquette, 41, announced their separate way back in October 2010 and both filed divorce papers on the same day in June 2012. By all accounts, the couple have behaved admirably through the divorce and it's easily one of the most amicable celebrity breakups of recent times - probably owing to their 8-year-old daughter Coco. The couple remain the tightest of friends, "He's my best friend in the world," the Cougar Town star said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in January. "I love him." The following week, Scream actor Arquette told People magazine, "She's incredible. ... I love her, too, and she's an amazing person, a beautiful person. I don't recommend divorce in general, but he is my best friend and we've both grown and changed, and I think we both appreciate each other more. I hope he does. I do."

Following their split, apparently over Arquette's infidelity, Courteney and Coco regularly turned out to watch the actor during his stint on Dancing with the Stars.

Jennifer Aniston got to co-host The Ellen Degeneres Show this week and gave us all a mini Friends reunion in the process. In the slightly awkward, slightly confusing bit, Aniston was nervous about the gig and she naturally went to her former co-star Matthew Perry for some sage advice. Except Perry wasn’t exactly thrilled to see her at the door, at 8AM no less. And when Aniston objected that they “used to do walk into each other’s apartments all the time”, Perry made a valid point (which went straight to the hearts of Friends fans).

Anniston was apparently the brains behind the reunion.

"That was a TV show," he counters. "We haven't actually seen each other in a really long time. Like eight years."

Did someone say “Friends reunion”? Technically, loads of people, but no one official. Sadly for all the devoted fans of the series (and there are definitely still a bunch of those around), the show’s co-creator Marta Kaufman has not only dismissed the current rumors, but she said a reunion of the 90s sitcom is never going to happen, Fox News reports. Well, that was a harsh letdown for everyone.

The buzz started earlier this week when reports surfaced that not only was a Friends reunion likely, but NBC had already confirmed the deal. There was even a photoshopped poster thrown into the mix, advertising “The One With The Reunion”, due to hit screens on Thanksgiving 2014. Kaufman, however, had this to say: “’Friends’ was about that time in your life when your friends are your family, and once you have a family, there’s no need anymore.”

According to her, now that the characters have families of their own, Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Joey and Chandler are past their coffee shop days. Even the most devoted Friends fans can probably see how that makes sense, but the nostalgia still lives on. Warner Bros. also dismissed reports that a “Friends” movie was in development, telling Zap2it there is no “Friends”-related project being worked on by the studio. Harsh. But hey, maybe that means it's time for a re-watch.

Courteney Cox and Cougar Town returned to screens on Tuesday (January 7, 2013), with its first season on TBS. The fourth season features the same crew, despite the show having been off the air since last May. It's always been a solid ratings winner, though for whatever reason, NBC decided the show didn't fit in with their schedule. Their loss, TBS's gain.

"I can't believe we're finally back. I honestly thought we might never be in this kitchen again. Just hanging out, telling our stories to each other. To the world," said Courteney's character Jules as she stepped back into her pad. The action picked up only a week after the wedding of Grayson and Jules from the last season, suggesting things are going to very similar to the NBC show. As a special bonus to viewers sticking with Cougar Town, the cast filmed a special "sneak peek" of events that will definitely NOT be appearing in Season 4, including all the women getting pregnant, Grayson and Andy kissing, and the grisly death of Tom!

Speaking on Conan O'Brien's show this week, Cox promoted the show by promising more nudity. Sort of. "I feel like we could be a little racier. I was actually wearing my shirts lower because I felt like, 'now I'm on cable - I should just show more boobs," she said. Following last night's premiere, the former Friends actress tweeted, "Thank you for all the nice comments! We're thrilled to be back!!!"

A jump from ABC To TBS hadn’t dimmed the cast and crew’s expectations that Cougar Town season 4 wouldn’t be a success, but the ultimate reckoning will lie in how well its premiere goes down tonight (January 8, 2013).

There’s been more upheaval than just a channel change for the Courteney Cox-starring show: this will be the first season that its creators Bill Lawrence and Kevin Biegel won’t be at the helm, with Ric Swartzlander taking over show running duties. So is that going to upset the apple cart? According to the New York Times, no. Cougar Town follows the life of Cox’s character Jules Cobb, a recently (not-so recently anymore) divorced woman in her 40’s trying to enjoy the next step of her life. The ‘Times comments “Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Biegel must have done their jobs right because their child doesn’t need them anymore to continue to be what it has been all along: an eclectic comedy that is smarter than mainstream fare like Last Man Standing but still feels like comfort food.”

Viewers can expect more of the same, then, no great surprises and no shocking twists. That might be a disappointment to some, but then the qualities of this show are that it’s a comfortable fit, TV that seems warm-hearted and familiar. And with Cox involved, you just know there’ll be a fair dose of humor involved.

Courteney Cox's career has kept a fairly steady trajectory since the end of Friends, in which she played super-clean chef, Monica. She now stars in Cougar Town, a comedy about middle aged women going after younger men. Last year, however, she and her husband of 13 years, David Arquette, got divorced, having split two years before. Now, to publicise the newest series of Cougar Town, she's headed to the Ellen studio to have a chat with Ellen DeGeneres. 

Of course, to play a cougar, she still has to look smoking hot, and she's doing pretty well. No one would ever guess she's 48. However, speaking to Ellen to revealed a couple of her top beauty secrets. Firstly, describing her hands as looking like an old woman's, she said that she gets them Fraxel lasered. Fraxel lasering essentially restores the skin's surface making it look a lot younger. Most people use it for their face, but Cox goes one step further, pampering her mitts. 

Plus, she has her eyelashes Latisse treated. As you get older your eyelashes get shorter and thinner, Latisse helps them grow thick and long. They do look pretty good so obviously it's doing its job.

Either Courteney Cox is really going all out to drum up support for season four of Cougar Town, or the TBS comedy-drama just became a whole lot more, well, adult. Speaking at the Television Critics Association panel for the show, Cox joked, "You will not see one scene that I don't show my boobs. You know what? I'm getting older, so I've decided at this point I'm taking less focus off the face, and focusing [on my chest]. By the time I'm much older, I will just be absolutely nude. I think it's gonna work for me, I hope."

Though the comments were taken as tongue-in-cheek, there may be truth in what the former Friends actress promised for Cougar Town. During an upcoming episode, the actress and on-screen love interest Josh Hopkins strip down during a "naked day" to spice up their marriage. "I did know in advance [but] I did not take advantage of the time I had to know," she told Us Weekly about preparing for the nude scenes. "Lighting is everything! I'm not kidding. You could walk into a room and go, 'Wow! I look great today.' And one step further, you're like, 'Oh my God, I look horrible!"

Only time will tell whether Cougar Town has maintained its popularity, though Cox has a couple of tricks up her sleeve as insurance should the ratings slip. She's already roped in her former Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston in past seasons, though reveals she's working on doing something with Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer. "I'd love to see the rest of the cast," she said, adding, "I catch re-runs of Friends and I don't remember even being there. I'm like, 'That is funny!"

Amid all the controversy that has arisen in response to the appalling video allegedly shown at the newly-wed's wedding last week, it's a pleasure to report that Jessica Biel may not be a Biel for that much longer, opting to legally take her husband's name. 

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel tied the knot last week in a lavish Italian wedding, with celebrations spanning almost an entire week. To further show her love and loyalty to her singer/actor husband, she has chosen to legally change her name to 'Timberlake', though she will still use 'Biel' professionally, probably to avoid any confusion in the future. She thinks she's 'really won the jackpot of names' by taking on Timberlake, reports Today Entertainment. We doubt that Justin offered to change his name to Biel, but he did pen an original song and perform it as she walked down the aisle. 

Most actresses choose to keep their name, these days in line with feminism and all that jazz. However there are a select few that have opted to take on their partner's name. Courtney Cox-Arquette chose to double up after marrying David Arquette (although she's returned to just Cox after their divorce), famously Victoria Beckham took on David Beckham's name (her original surname was 'Adam's, Beckham is a great improvement) and Katy Perry made mistake of taking on Brand during her short lived marriage to Russell Brand.
