Cory Monteith's mother has thanked fans for their support.
The 'Glee' actor was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver on July 13 after he accidentally overdosed on heroin and alcohol, and Cory's mother Ann McGregor has broken her silence to pay tribute to fans of the late star.
She tweeted: ''I would like to thank all of Cory's supporters at this extremely emotional time. Your support has been overwhelming ... thank you! (sic)''
Cory's funeral took place in Vancouver, Canada, the week after his death, following a private wake that was attended by Ann, his heartbroken girlfriend Lea Michele, 26, and his older brother Shaun, but his father Joe Monteith hit out after he was not invited.
He claimed he was only informed about his son's cremation after it took place and is ''totally devastated'' that he wasn't invited to view Cory's body for the last time.
He added: ''I always loved both my sons and am going to miss Cory very very much. I'm saddened at the fact that I couldn't have been there to see my son before he was cremated.''
Sources said that Ann, decided to hold a wake for the 31-year-old actor in the hospital after his body was released following an autopsy.
She then immediately decided to have her son cremated.
Her ex-husband Joe said he is ''shocked'' that Cory was taking heroin, despite the late actor previously admitting he had struggled with addiction since he was a teenager and he would take ''anything and everything, as much as possible.''
