LATEST: Actor Corin Redgrave is in a critical, but stable condition in an English hospital after collapsing from a heart attack - just minutes after announcing he is suffering from cancer.
The 65-year-old theatre stalwart-turned-political campaigner was protesting on behalf of a controversial travellers site in Basildon, Essex when he was struck down with the coronary attack on Wednesday (08JUN05).
Redgrave, who has been receiving treatment for cancer at the Royal Marsden hospital in London, was rushed to Basildon Hospital after police officers restarted his heart.
