Conan O Brien 's famous beard is under threat after the comedian and actor Will Ferrell threatened to shave it off when he next appears on the host's talk show. Conan O Brien welcomes the 'Anchorman' star onto his show on May 2nd 2011 and Ferrell says it's time for the ginger facial hair to come off, reports the Huffington Post.
In a segment on Monday night's 'Conan', the host was told that a fan named 'Will' had recorded a video message. Ferrell suddenly appeared on the screen, saying, "Hey Conan, my name's Will, I found an error, and the error I found is your beard, that thing is a huge mistake, so I'm gonna come there and fix it myself. That's right, I'm a guest on your show, May 2nd, and whether you like it or not, I'm gonna shave it off", adding, "Circle the date on your calendar because I am circling your face like a vulture who eats hair". Conan enlisted the help of Ferrell during his final 'Tonight Show' last year. After NBC had controversially replaced the host with late night veteran Jay Leno, Conan wound up his short reign at the network with a musical performance of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Free Bird', featuring Ferrell on lead vocals. O'Brien played guitar alongside Beck, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and Ben Harper.
Conan O Brien now presents the late night talk show 'Conan' each Monday through Thursday on the Tbs network. The hour long show premiered on 8th November 2010 and features O'Brien's usual mix of comedy monologues and celebrity interviews.
