BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB star Compay Segundo has died aged 95.
Segundo came to international prominence in 1999, when he featured alongside artists including Ibrahim Ferrer and Ry Cooder in Wim Wenders' massively popular OSCAR-nominated documentary, which saw over four million soundtracks album sold.
Segundo had been recently suffering from a kidney infection, causing a number of European concerts to be cancelled.14/07/2003 21:06
