Rapper Common is convinced his fame has turned him into a target for people desperate for a career boost - after a police officer who stopped him for a traffic violation asked him for a job.
The hip-hop star was ready to speed off after he accepted a ticket issued when he was caught taking a wrong turn in Los Angeles.
But he was stunned when the officer asked him for a favour.
He tells the New York Daily News: "Once I was in Beverly Hills and did a U-turn, so this officer gave me a ticket. Then he realised who I was. He came back and said, 'So if you ever need security...' and I was like 'Dude, you understand this is the worst way to try to get a job, right?'"
