With the 21st century world revolving around the it, people are becoming gradually more and more dependent on the internet, and it isn't without consequences. Derek and Cindy's marriage is on the rocks as he struggles to curb his online gambling habits and she enters into an extramarital affair with a stranger on a social networking site. Unfortunately, their secrets are forcibly uncovered when they realise that money is going missing from their accounts, due to an alarming case of identity fraud. Elsewhere, a teenaged social outcast is delighted when a girl online becomes seemingly interested in him leading him to send her some intimate pictures on her request. However, when the pictures show up around school, he is devastated to learn that he has been the victim of a cruel joke at the hands of a cyber-bully who created a fake account. Meanwhile, an ambitious journalist is curious to learn about young teenagers being intimate via webcam with strangers and sets out to get the scoop on the shocking practise despite ruining lives on the way.

After his wife dies, Benjamin (Damon) is struggling to keep his kids - 14-year-old Dylan (Ford) and 7-year-old Rosie(Jones) - happy, mainly because he has lost the daredevil storyteller within himself. So against the advice of his goofy-but-sensible brother (Church), Benjamin buys a run-down zoo and moves there with his children to get it up and running again. Zookeeper Kelly (Johansson) and her team (including Macfadyen and Fugit) don't think he'll stick it out. And indeed, it's more of a challenge than he ever imagined.

Cast as The Eternal Earth Mother in Hunter Hill and Perry Moore's Lake City, Sissy Spacek is a one woman universe -- tilling the soil, pushing wheelbarrows, filling the cupboards, sitting on the porch, and staring pensively at the sunset or gazing at the eternal landscape. She is not channeling her characters in Badlands or The River so much as going back to the source -- Linda Arvidson's stoic pioneer women from the old D.W. Griffith two-reelers (all that is missing is waiting for her effeminate husband to reel in the fish). She lives alone and leads a hard life keeping her farm together in rural Virginia and even though local gas station attendant and part-time guitar picker Roy (Keith Carradine) pines for her, Spacek's Maggie Pope keeps to herself and tend to her chores.
