The latest, extended trailer for the Colin Farrell staring reboot of Total Recall has premiered online and in cinemas this week, and whilst Arnold Schwarzenegger is nowhere to be seen, the trailer did hint that there will be some references to the 1990 sci-fi hit.
The heads up in question comes via the not-so-subtle "You're going to wish you had three hands," comment of a passing prostitute to protagonist Doug Quaid, played by Farrell, a factory worker at the centre of the storyline. This is of course, for those of you up to date with your classic sci-fi and Arnie films, a nod to the three-breasted prostitute in the original movie. The film revolves around Quaid, who, although he's got a steady life and a beautiful wife, Lori, played by Kate Beckinsale, is unhappy with the way things have turned out for him. He heads a brain-workshop that implants memories into a person's mind, called Recall, to receive the memories and dreams of a spy, only to have the procedure go horribly wrong. Now Doug's left to wonder what is real and what isn't and just which side who he's supposed to be fighting for - the tyrannical Vilos Cohaagen (led by BILL CRANSTON) or the resistance (led by Bill Nighy).
Jessica Biel and Ethan Hawke also star in the film, which is due to be released on August 29th 2012.
