Colin Farrell was so obsessed with Marilyn Monroe as a child, he would leave candy under his pillow in the hope she would visit while he slept.
The Irish actor has been fixated on the screen legend since he was very young, even though she died in 1962 - fourteen years before 28-year-old Farrell was born.
He says, "When I was eight years old I kept Smarties (chocolate sweets) under my pillow for Marilyn Monroe to come down from heaven.
"They did not melt but I still did not eat them. They were only for her.
"I replenished them every night, and then I just threw the Smarties out in the morning after Marilyn had not appeared to eat them."
