British rockers Coldplay are leading the race at music bible Q's annual awards - after picking up for four nominations.

The YELLOW band - fronted by CHRIS MARTIN - have been nominated in the Best Single, Best Live Performance, Best Band In The World Today and Best Video categories.

Among the other nominees in the Best Band In The World category are THE Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blur, Foo Fighters and Radiohead.

A surprise nominees at the awards - which celebrate the best in rock music - is pop diva Christina Aguilera, who is up for Best Single and Best Video for her raunchy track DIRRTY.

The results will be announced at a star studded ceremony in London on 2 October (03).
