The Coen Brothers' True Grit has taken over at the top of the U.S. box office after a strong third weekend on release.
The film, starring Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon, fell behind chart-topper Little Fockers over Christmas (10), but it has replaced the comedy in the new box office estimates with a $15 million (£10 million) take.
Little Fockers slips to second with $13.8 million (£9.2 million).
Nicolas Cage's supernatural thriller Season of the Witch debuts at three with $10.7 million (£7.1 million), while Gwyneth Paltrow's country-music drama Country Strong enters the box office chart at six with a disappointing $7.3 million (£4.8 million) take.
