The Guillaume Canet-directed thriller 'Blood Ties' has finally released its first theatrical trailer. The film, based on the French novel of the same name by Bruno and Michel Papet, is a remake of the French flick 'Les liens du' (2008).

The drama, which will be released in selected theatres this coming March, boosts an all-star cast which includes, Clive Owen, Mila Kunis, Zoe Saldana, Marion Cotillard and Billy Crudup.
The plot occurs in 1974 in New York City and follows two brothers, ex-con Chris Pierzynski (Owen) and his younger sibling, police officer Frank (Crudup). After being released from prison for good behaviour after serving seven years, Chris moves in with Frank, who is determined to help his brother change his ways.

Although Frank feeds Chris, gives him a place to stay and tries to reconnect him with his estranged family and ex-wife (Cotillard), Chris cannot help but to fall back into the criminal world, putting him into a family conflict with Frank.
What will happen when their paths cross again?
The thriller has generally received a positive reaction from critics after it was screened several film festivals last year, and it holds a 70% score on the critic site Rotten Tomatoes.
