Acclaimed record producer Clive Davis has been announced as the guest of honour at an upcoming film and music festival in Italy.
The five-time Grammy winner will accept the William Wolton Ischia Legend Award at the opening night of the 10th Annual Ischia Global Film & Music Fest on the island of Ischia off the coast of Naples on 8 July (12).
Italian singer Zucchero will be on hand to present the prize to Davis, who is credited with launching Whitney Houston's career and has mentored the likes of Alicia Keys, Rod Stewart, Jennifer Hudson and Christina Aguilera.
Davis says, "Music is my life, film is my avocation, and Italy is my second home. I can envision no finer night in no finer site and I really can't wait for this very special evening."
The music mogul is in good company as the latest recipient of the Legend Award - previous honourees include Burt Bacharach, Harry Belafonte, and Sting.
